Stephen F. Austin Purple Lights Fund

The J Association Hall of Fame is comprised of former student-athletes, coaches, trainers, and athletic directors that have demonstrated success, longevity, and significant impact in their areas of service to SFA Athletics. To be considered for the J Association Hall of Fame, nominees must meet the criteria listed below:

• Must have distinguished athletic, coaching, or administrative accomplishments at SFA.
• Post-graduate support of SFA athletics (i.e. financial support, event attendance, or otherwise furthering the mission of the athletics department).
• Success in chosen field of endeavor.
• Must be a graduate or former employee (coach or athletic director) of SFA.
• Must have completed athletic eligibility at SFA (requirement for former student-athletes only).
• Must have lettered at least two years, or coached at least five years at SFA.
• Must have completed athletic eligibility, SFA coaching career, or SFA employment at least ten years prior to the year of nomination.
  • Exceptions can be made for coaches who retire from coaching at SFA on a case-by-case basis. 

No more than four individuals shall be inducted per year of which no more than two shall be deceased.

The individual making the nomination is encouraged to provide supporting information; specific athletic accomplishments, newspaper articles etc. to support the case for Hall of Fame induction.
